Lady Toppers Continue Fall Slate At Samford Round Robin

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Women's Tennis will continue its fall schedule this weekend with the Samford Round Robin at the Samford Tennis Center.

The three-day event, scheduled for Oct. 13-15 in Birmingham, Alabama, will feature WKU, Samford, South Alabama and UAB.

"A really challenging tournament field this weekend," WKU Women's Tennis Head Coach Greg Davis said. "A good mix of talent from four different conferences. South Alabama has been a powerhouse for years. Samford and UAB are two really deep and well coached teams. I know the team and I are excited about the competition ahead of us the next few days."

The Lady Toppers will open the event Friday with doubles matches against UAB at 10 a.m. CT. They'll also face Samford in singles matches at 1 p.m. CT

On Saturday, WKU is scheduled to face South Alabama in doubles at 10 a.m. CT and UAB in singles at 1 p.m. CT.

WKU will wrap up the weekend Sunday with doubles matches against Samford at 10 a.m. CT and singles matches against South Alabama at 11 a.m. CT.

The Lady Toppers opened the fall schedule last weekend with the MTSU Invitational in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, going 25-6 in singles matches and 13-1 in doubles matches.
