BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Women's Tennis Head Coach Greg Davis announced the singing of Emily Meng on Tuesday.
"We are really looking forward to having Emily on The Hill next fall," Davis said. "I think seeing that she is constantly working on her improvement on the court and in the classroom was a perfect match for our program."
Meng comes to WKU from Quinnipiac, where she spent her freshman season in 2025-26. Over her first season, Meng claimed a total of six singles wins, with victories over Stonehill, Bryant, Western Carolina, New Haven, Siena and Marist. She also totaled nine doubles wins across the fall and spring semesters, including wins over Marist, Bryant, Brandeis, Rhode Island, Marquette, New Haven, Merrimack and Rider. She was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Women's Rookie of the Week on Feb. 11 and March 25, and she helped her team to the 2026 MAAC Women's Tennis Championship and a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
Meng is a native of Orlando, Florida, and prepped at Boone High School.
Meng is the second new player to sign with WKU for the 2026-27 season. The Lady Toppers signed Saint Louis transfer Madison Hill earlier this month. The two newcomers will join a group of six returners from 2025-26 that includes Isabelle Einess, Ariadna Fernandez, Virginia Madueño, Barbara Olvera, Emily Schut and Andra Sirbu.
The Lady Toppers finished the 2026 season with an 11-14 record, marking the fifth straight season the program has reached double-digit wins. It is the second time in program history WKU Women's Tennis has accomplished that, also doing so between the 2009-13 seasons. The Lady Toppers have won 73 matches over the last five seasons, which is the highest win total over a five-year period in program history.
