JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – WKU Women's Golf is currently seventh as a team through the first two rounds of the UNF Collegiate. After the first round, WKU was in seventh after posting a 19-over 307 for the initial 18 holes. The Lady Toppers maintained that placement by shooting 16-over 304 in the second round.
In the 16-team field, WKU is just four shots outside the top-five headed into Tuesday's final round. Four of the Lady Toppers in the lineup are in the top 40 individuals in the field, out of 91 total.
Sophomore
Sarah Arnold led WKU in both the first and second rounds, carding a pair of 3-over 75's on the day. She turned in 26 pars over 36 holes at the par-72, 5,926-yard Jacksonville Golf and Country Club. Arnold is tied for 18th, only two shots away from a top-10 finish.
Graduate senior
Mary Joiner was not far off Arnold, shooting two rounds of 4-over 76 on Monday. She finished her first round with a birdie on the 18th hole and is in 30th. Joiner is three strokes out of the top-15.
Both of freshman
Rachel Rich's scores counted for the Lady Toppers as she improved by six shots from round one to round two. Her first-round, 8-over 80 was proceeded by the team's best round of the day at 2-over 74. In the second round, she logged five birdies over the 18 holes. Rich is tied for 32nd on the individual leaderboard.
Senior captain
Megan Clarke is tied for 40th after shooting a 4-over 76 and 7-over 79. Fellow senior
Olivia Reed is tied for 63rd with scores of 9-over 81 and 7-over 79.
Two Lady Toppers are competing at the UNF Collegiate as individuals. Redshirt senior
Teri Doss finished the day at 18-over 162 while freshman
Addie Westbrook is in 87th at 23-over 167.
Tuesday's final round will be a shotgun start at 7:45 a.m. CT.
