BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU women's golf senior Sydney Hackett has been named the Conference USA Golfer of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday. It is Hackett's fourth time earning the weekly award.
The Ashburn, Virginia native got the 2025-26 season off to a good start with a top 15 finish at the Boilermaker Classic, hosted by Purdue in West Lafayette, Indiana on Monday and Tuesday. Hackett finished the tournament tied for 13th place, shooting 2-over for the tournament.
The senior improved her score each round, posting a 3-over score in the first, 1-over score in the second and 2-under score in the final round. Her 70 in the final round was the seventh best score of the third round.
Hackett tied for the best average on Par 3 holes, averaging 2.75 strokes and had the sixth most birdies in the tournament with 11.
Hackett and the Lady Toppers will be back in action on Sept. 14-16 at the Badger Invitational hosted Wisconsin in Madison.
