Phillip Hatchett Golf Facility
The Phillip Hatchett Golf Facility opened to WKU's men's and women's golf programs in the Fall of 2019 and was dedicated and named after late Hilltopper Golf coach and former student-athlete Phillip Hatchett on February 21, 2020. The state-of-the-art facility is complete with technology and tools that will help student-athletes in each program develop their game for years to come.
Within the facility, there is a hitting bay designated for each team, outfitted with a launch monitor that can replicate some of the most famous golf courses in the world and simulate the actual flight pattern of the golf ball. There is a large putting green in the main room, complete with a PuttView system. WKU is one of the only collegiate programs in the country to have such a system. The light technology projects slope on the putting surface and can project the break from any point to any hole on the green.
In addition to the advanced technology, there is also a space for chipping and hitting, a club regripping station and a loft alignment machine, allowing for quality work and repair outside the traditional golf course setting. A separate player lounge off the main area provides a space for team meetings and activities.
