BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU women's golf senior Sydney Hackett has been named the Conference USA Golfer of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday. It is Hackett's seventh time earning the weekly award and the fourth time this season in just six weeks played this season.
Hackett finished the Daniel Island Invitational with a 3-under score (213) after carding 70s (-2) in the first and second round and closing out with a 73 (+1) in the third to finish in a tie for fifth place.
Ranked No. 78 in the SCOREBOARD collegiate rankings, Hackett finished ahead of the No. 50 player from Charlotte and No. 75 player from Charleston.
It was her third top five finish of the season and the 12th in her career.
