RUSTON, La. – WKU Baseball dropped game two at Louisiana Tech 12-2 on Saturday afternoon at Pat Patterson Park. The Hilltoppers drop to 32-18 (13-7 CUSA) while the Bulldogs improve to 37-15 (14-6 CUSA).
The Hilltoppers jumped out to a 2-0 lead with sophomore Dylan O'Connell scoring on a sacrifice fly in the first inning before a single from junior Kyle Hayes extended the lead.

Senior Jacob Bimbi earned the starting nod and was perfect through 2.0 innings, striking out five without allowing a run or a hit, but the Bulldogs got to him and scored five in the third. Louisiana Tech went on to score four in the fourth, and three in the fifth to reach the 10-run rule.

Hayes was the only Hilltopper to have a multi-hit outing, going 2-for-3 with an RBI while junior Ethan Lizama recorded the only other RBI.

Junior Patrick Morris had a productive performance on the mound, hurling 1.1 frames of scoreless baseball while surrendering one hit and one walk.
