BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The WKU (0-2) women's tennis team will travel to Nashville, Tenn. on Friday to take on Lipscomb (1-0) at the Whitworth Indoor Center at 7:00 p.m.
Friday's match will be the first match for WKU in three weeks after a week off and a cancelled match against Indiana on Jan. 24 due to weather. The Lady Toppers opened the season with matches against Southern Illinois and Louisville, dropping both.
Andreanna Christopoulou will look to extend her four-match winning streak started last season and to maintain her undefeated record this season. The junior won both singles matches against SIU and Louisville last month and continues to hold her No. 114-ranking by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Tereza Hejlova and Elpida Malamou will each be looking to get their second singles win of the season after going 1-1 in the opening weekend. Hejlova played both matches at the No. 1 spot for the Lady Toppers while Malamou defended the No. 3.
WKU last played Lipscomb on March 17, 2015 in Nashville where the Lady Toppers got a close 4-3 win. WKU won all four of its points in singles in that match coming from the top four spots.
