BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The WKU women's tennis team will travel to Murray, Ky. to take on the Murray State Racers at Kenlake State Park on Saturday at 2:00 pm CST. The Lady Toppers are currently on a two-game winning streak with wins against Belmont and Austin Peay.
"Murray State is the reigning Ohio Valley Conference champions so we know they present a tough challenge," commented head coach Jonatan Berhane. "We also know that we are a tough opponent and I have full confidence in our players that they are ready for this match on Saturday."
WKU is coming off of a 6-1 win against Austin Peay last weekend in Clarksville, Tenn., where Lady Toppers recorded victories at the top-five singles spots and claimed the doubles point.
Murray State claimed the regular season and tournament OVC titles last season. The Racers are currently 4-2 this season and are coming off of a loss at Memphis last week.
