BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- WKU women's golf is set to compete in the Blue Raider Invitational hosted by Middle Tennessee at the Old Fort Golf Club in Murfreesboro, Tenn., on Monday and Tuesday.
The first round will feature a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. with the Lady Toppers teeing off on holes 4, 5 and 6. Georgina Blackman, Emily Alexander, Ellinor Haag, Daniela Galassi and Michaela Bordeianu make up the card for WKU, while Katie Story will compete as an individual. The Old Fort Golf Club will play 6,369 yards with a par of 72 for the event.
WKU is coming off a fourth-place finish in the Bearcat Classic hosted by Cincinnati two weeks ago, posting a 50-over 914 (312-302-300) in the tournament. Blackman led the Lady Tops with a seven-over 223 (77-74-72) to place fourth overall, while Haag was just behind with an eight-over 224 (78-74-72) to tie for fifth on the individual leaderboard.
Thus far in the fall, WKU's golfers have posted eight individual top-20 finishes, led by Haag's second-place finish with a five-under 139 (67-72) at the season-opening Bluegrass Kickoff on Aug. 31. The senior has finished 16th or better in each of the Lady Tops' three events this season.
WKU will travel to Bradenton, Fla., for the Pat Bradley Invitational hosted by FIU at the Lakewood Ranch Country Club on Oct. 25-27 in its next time out and will have just one more fall tournament on the docket, UAB's Fall Beach Bash, before taking a break for the winter.
