BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- WKU head women's tennis coach Jonatan Berhane announced Thursday the signing of Elpida Malamou to National Letter of Intent to play for the Lady Toppers in 2014-15.
Malamou was ranked among the top-three players in Greece in her age group prior to coming to WKU. She holds a world tennis ranking of 418 and represented her country in the European National Championship at ages 16 and 18.
"Elpida is a very good player with a lot of experience on the junior world stage," Berhane said. "She will be a very strong player in the lineup and will be a big part of achieving our goals of establishing WKU women's tennis as a strong tennis program."
