Team Records, Game Notables and Series Information WKU improves to 22-8 on the season. WKU finished the regular season with a 21-8 mark, including an 13-5 mark in league play. WKU now leads the all-time series 40-2, including a 5-0 mark on a neutral court.
Team Notes WKU has now won eight consecutive games, its longest winning streak since the 2007-08 season. WKU did not lead by more than three points until the final 20 seconds of the game. WKU improved to 57-22 all-time in the Sun Belt Conference Championships. WKU is now 10-3 in conference tournament games in the state of Louisiana all-time. WKU is now 5-0 in games played in Louisiana under Michelle Clark-Heard. Clark-Heard improved to 2-1 in conference tournament play in her career, including a 2-0 mark in SBC quarterfinal action. WKU allowed 10 three-point field goals in a game for the first time this season. The last time a team hit 10 three-point field goals against WKU came last year against Louisiana-Lafayette on Jan. 16, 2013. The seven three-point field goals by Louisiana-Lafayette's Sylvana Okde set a new opponent record against WKU in a Sun Belt Conference Tournament game. WKU used the starting lineup of Ileana Johnson, Chastity Gooch, Jalynn McClain, Micah Jones and Kendall Noble. o WKU has used 12 different starting lineups during the 2013-14 season, using a combination of 10 different players. WKU has used six different starting lineups in conference play using a combination of eight different players.
Individual Notes Junior forward and All-America candidate Chastity Gooch had 21 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals. o Gooch entered the top 20 in WKU's all-time scoring list tonight, moving into 19th place on WKU's all-time list at 1,257 points. She needs one point to tie Renee Westmoreland for 18th place on the all-time list. o Gooch's 14 rebounds were her most since grabbing 16 against Troy on Jan. 4, 2014. Junior Ileana Johnson made her first start of the season and third of her career. It was her first start since Jan. 28, 2012 at Florida International. o Johnson hit a three-point field goal late in the first half, her second of the season and just the fifth of her career. Freshman post Bria Gaines came off the bench to post eight points. Gaines has scored at least seven points in six consecutive games, including double figures in four-of-six. Junior Chanell Lockhart had 10 points and seven rebounds off the bench in 24 minutes. Junior guard and All-America candidate Alexis Govan missed her 18th consecutive game with a stress fracture in her left tibia. Her last appearance came on Dec. 21, 2013 against Georgetown in San Juan, Puerto Rico in a 57-55 come-from-behind win.
