Her 671 points rank as the sixth most in a single season in program history... Govan became the 21st player in the combined history of Lady Topper Basketball and Hilltopper Basketball to reach the 600-point mark in a single season and the 10th Lady Topper to reach the mark... Govan is the second sophomore in Lady Topper Basketball or Hilltopper Basketball history to reach the 600-point mark in a season while just the sixth player to reach the mark as a freshman, sophomore or junior... Finished season ranked 15th in the nation in scoring, 79th in field goal percentage and 107th in free throw percentage... Scored 40 points in an 82-80 win over North Texas on Dec. 29, 2012 in E.A. Diddle Arena, one of just 14 40-point performances in the nation during the 2012-13 season and one of just three by a sophomore... Govan became the fourth player in school history to reach the 40 point mark in a game, joining Crystal Kelly (42 points vs. ULM on Feb. 23, 2008), Natalie Powers (41 vs. Middle Tennessee on Feb. 1, 2001) and Brenda Chapman (40 points vs. Murray State on Jan. 21, 1978) as those who have reached the 40-point plateau... FRESHMAN (2011-12): Finished freshman campaign ranked third on the team in scoring, averaging 6.6 points per game... Also led the squad with 58 assists, and was second with 42 steals... Played in all 30 games in her first year on the Hill, starting 17 times... In collegiate debut, scored seven points in 25 minutes off the bench against Towson on Nov. 12, 2011. Also had seven rebounds and a game-high five assists... Had 11 points, five rebounds, and four steals at Northwestern on Nov. 15, 2011 in her first career start, playing 30 minutes... Scored 22 points in two of the final three games of the season, including a 22-point performance against Middle Tennessee on Feb. 26, 2012 and a 22-point, five steal performance against ULM on March 3, 2012.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned all-region honors as a senior after averaging 23.3 points and 8.8 rebounds per game for Stevens High School ... Also dished out 2.9 assists and collected 3.8 steals per contest ... Named to the TABC all-region team, as well as the San Antonio Express-News 2011 Super Team ... Was a 2011 McDonald's High School All-America nominee ... Scored 16.9 points and collected 9.5 rebounds per game as a junior, knocking down 30 percent of her shots from three-point range...
