Lady Topper Legacy Club Website
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU women's basketball fans wanting to get involved with the program will now have an exciting chance to do so. WKU has launched the Lady Topper Legacy Club, a fundraising group focused on increasing funds specifically for the women's basketball program.
"We are thrilled to announce the rebrand of the Lady Topper Legacy Club," said Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director, Chief Revenue Office, Senior Woman Administrator and Executive Director of the Hilltopper Athletic Fund Kat Smith. "This represents a renewed commitment to investing in the future of our student-athletes and strengthening the tradition of excellence that defines our women's basketball program."
The Lady Topper Legacy Club is an exclusive group of donors who give philanthropically in support of WKU Women's Basketball. Donations to the Lady Topper Legacy Club will be used for a variety of things ranging from facility enhancements to charter flights to nutrition upgrades. All funds are spent at the discretion of the head women's basketball coach to enhance the program and the student-athlete experience.
"We're so excited to get this initiative off the ground," said head coach Greg Collins. "As a member of the group myself, I encourage anyone who wants to get involved with our program to do so. In today's landscape of collegiate women's basketball, we need every advantage we can get, and this will be crucial one."
Increasing funds for the WKU Women's Basketball Program is imperative in the ever-changing and competitive landscape of college athletics. By making a gift to the Legacy Club, members will help Lady Topper Basketball accomplish important annual goals that include improving the student-athlete experience, upgrading facilities, enhancing resources for the coaches and staff and funding additional program needs.
There are six tiers of giving within the group:
- Starters: $500
- All-Conference: $1,000
- MVP: $2,500
- All-American: $5,000
- Hall of Famer: $10,000
- Legend: $25,000
