BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Conference USA announced its league slate for the 2026-27 season on Thursday afternoon. WKU will play 18 total conference games January through March, playing each CUSA team twice (home and away).
The Lady Toppers will tipoff the league schedule against Kennesaw State (Saturday, Jan. 2) and Jacksonville State (Monday, Jan. 4) at home. WKU is 2-2 against Kennesaw State all-time and 5-1 against the Gamecocks. WKU will then travel to New Mexico State (Friday, Jan. 8) and Sam Houston (Sunday, Jan. 10). The Lady Toppers are 7-5 against the Aggies all-time and 3-2 against the Bearkats.
WKU returns home to face Delaware (Thursday, Jan. 14) and Liberty (Saturday, Jan. 16). The Lady Toppers split with the Blue Hens last season and had two close losses to the Flames a season ago. The Lady Toppers will hit the road again to take on Missouri State (Thursday, Jan. 21) and FIU (Saturday, Jan. 23). WKU has played Missouri State 10 times in program history, including a matchup in the 1992 Final Four where the Lady Toppers defeated the Lady Bears, 84-72, to advance to the National Championship game against Stanford. The Lady Toppers have played FIU 53 times and own a 38-15 record against the Panthers all-time.
WKU will close out January on the road at rival Middle Tennessee (Saturday, Jan. 30). The Lady Toppers and Blue Raiders have faced off 90 total times in program history and 80 times in the modern era (since 1973). Middle Tennessee is WKU's most played opponent. WKU split with the Blue Raiders last season, taking a 70-65 win in Diddle Arena in late February.
WKU opens February at home against Sam Houston (Thursday, Feb. 4) and New Mexico State (Saturday, Feb. 6). The Lady Toppers will then travel to Liberty (Thursday, Feb. 11) and Delaware (Saturday, Feb. 13). WKU has a three-game homestand to close out the home slate, hosting FIU (Thursday, Feb. 18), Missouri State (Saturday, Feb. 20) and Middle Tennessee (Saturday, Feb. 27).
The Lady Toppers close out the regular season on the road, traveling to Jax State (Thursday, March 4) and Kennesaw State (Saturday, March 6).
The 2026-27 non-conference schedule will be announced on a later date.
