BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — WKU women's tennis team will travel to Jonesboro, Ark., for the Arkansas State Invitational played on Friday and Saturday. The tournament will conclude fall play for the Lady Toppers after competing in four other tournaments this fall season.
The Lady Toppers accumulated a 21-18 singles record throughout the season in tournaments at Elon, Amelia Island, Wake Forest, and in the ITA Regional. WKU also put together a 10-8 record in doubles during fall play. Newcomers Emilia Granstrom and Andreanna Christopoulou have highlighted the fall season. Granstrom will enter the last tournament with a 7-4 singles record including a flight title from the Elon Invitational. Christopoulou looks to add to her 6-3 singles record.
WKU will be competing with the likes of Southeast Missouri State, UT Martin, Missouri State, and others in this tournament. Arkansas State is a familiar foe of WKU. The Red Wolves and the Lady Toppers were fellow conference members in the Sun Belt. WKU Tennis will begin competing in Conference USA this spring.
