- WKU improved to 6-3 on the season while Jackson State fell to 2-7 on the season.
- WKU won the first ever meeting between the teams.
- WKU returns to action on Friday, Dec. 20 when the Lady Toppers face Belmont in the 2013 Puerto Rico Classic in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Tipoff is set for 11:00 a.m. CT.
- WKU returns home on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014 when the Lady Toppers face Georgia State for the Spread the Red Education Game at 11:30 a.m. CT. Tickets for the general public are just $1 for the game as part of the NCAA Pack the House Challenge.
Team Notes
- WKU used the lineup of Chastity Gooch, Alexis Govan, Jalynn McClain, Micah Jones and Bianca McGee for the first time this season. It is the fourth starting lineup used by WKU this year.
- Michelle Clark-Heard improved to 12-2 in bounce back games as the head coach of the Lady Toppers, including a 3-0 mark this season. Overall, Clark-Heard has won 20 of her last 24 bounce back games dating to the start of the 2006-07 season at Kentucky State.
- WKU completed non-conference play at E.A. Diddle Arena with a 4-1 record, the lone loss coming to No. 4/3 Louisville. WKU was 2-2 in the regular season at home in non-conference play last season.
- Michelle Clark-Heard improved to 4-1 in her collegiate coaching career against Jackson State head coach Surina Dixon. Clark-Heard was 3-1 against Dixon while the head coach at Kentucky State. Dixon was at Lane at the time.
- WKU's 46 points in the first half were the most in the first half of a game during the Michelle Clark-Heard era.

- It was the sixth time during the Michelle Clark-Heard era that WKU has scored 46 points or more in a half and the third this season.
- WKU shot 60.0 percent in the opening half, marking the first time WKU has shot 60.0 in consecutive halves during the Michelle Clark-Heard era. WKU shot 63.3 percent at Ball State in the second half on Dec. 6, 2013.

Individual Notes
- Junior guard Alexis Govan had 13 points and three assists in 18 minutes of play.

- Govan continued to build on her career point total after recently becoming the 34th member of WKU's 1,000 point club. She remained in 34th place on the all-time list, inching closer to Jamie Walz's 1,044 points that would tie her for 33rd on the all-time list.
- Govan has scored in double figures in 45 consecutive games, tying her with Crystal Kelly for the third longest double-figure scoring streak at WKU since the start of the 2000-01 season. The streak is the second longest such active streak in the nation.
- The game marked the 48th career game scoring in double figures of Govan's career.
- Govan has started 50 consecutive games, the longest active streak on the team. She started the final nine games of the 2011-12 season and every game of the 2012-13 season. She has 59 career starts to her credit.
- Senior guard Bianca McGee made her first start of the season and 21st of her career.
- Junior forward Chastity Gooch recorded her fifth double-double of the 2013-14 season and 31st of the last two seasons. She finished with 12 points and 13 rebounds.

- Freshman guard Kierra Muhammad made her first career free throws with 13:54 left in the game.
- Freshman center Bria Gaines recorded her first career double-double, reaching double figures in both points and rebounds for the first time in her career.
- Gaines finished with 15 points and 12 rebounds in 23 minutes, hitting 7-of-10 shot attempts.
- Junior guard Jasmine Crawford hit her first career three-point field goal midway through the second half.
- Junior guard Ileana Johnson, playing in just her second game of the season, scored her first points of the season.
- Freshman Ruta Savickaite hit her first career field goal during the second half.
