Bowling Green, Ky. — The Western Kentucky University men's tennis team defeated IPFW 5-2 on Sunday afternoon.
The win moved the Hilltoppers to 8-7 on the year.
Chad True beat Nabil Mourad Filho 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1 singles. No. 3 Thomas Krug took care of Nathan Jones 6-2, 6-2. David Bowman won in three sets over Arturo Salgado 2-6, 7-5, 10-5 at No. 4 singles and Matt Broom defeated David Lynall 6-1, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.
Andy True teamed with brother C. True to win at No. 1 doubles 8-5 over Filho and Renan Constantino. Bowman and Broom collected the second doubles victory against Lynall and Hermann Kuschke 8-3 at No. 3.
The Hilltoppers and Lady Toppers will be in action again on Saturday (April 7th) against Lipscomb in Nashville, Tenn at 10 a.m. (CDT).
