BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - WKU Athletics held its annual academic banquet Monday evening at the President's House on campus, where over 250 of WKU's 350-plus student-athletes were invited to attend based on their academic credentials.
Among those honored was men's tennis senior Patrick De Seroux. The Paris, Ky., native received the prestigious award of Men's Scholar Athlete of the Year for his 3.75 cumulative grade point average (GPA).
A total of 36 student-athletes, including three tennis players, were inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma honor society this year for having a GPA above 3.4. Juniors John Bauerle, Madeline Phillips, and sophomore Alex Stewart were all inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma.
Additionally, three student-athletes posted personal best GPAs last fall. That list includes senior Monta Reinfelde, junior John Bauerle, and sophomore Alex Stewart.
