NEW ORLEANS - WKU tennis saw its season end Friday night in New Orleans as third-seeded Georgia State bounced the sixth-seeded Hilltoppers 4-0 in the opening round of the Sun Belt Conference Championship.
GSU clinched the doubles point with wins over WKU at the No. 2 and 3 matches. WKU couldn't stop the bleeding in singles play as the Panthers swept the Hilltoppers to win the No. 3, 5, and 6 matches and advance to the next round. WKU finishes the year with a 6-8 record.
