The Hilltoppers’ improved to 2-1 on the year as ISE dropped to 0-1.
WKU grabbed the doubles point with three straight victories. Chad True and Andy True were victorious at No. 1, 8-3, while Thomas Krug and Quinn Saine won at No. 2 by the same total. David Bowman and Sam Patterson shutout Ben Walker and David Ballage, 8-0.
In singles, C. True won 6-0, 6-2, against Jordan Hamilton at No. 1, followed by an A. True win at No. 2 singles, 7-5, 6-2. Bowman defeated Tommy Dunn 6-1, 6-0, at No. 3 singles and Saine took care of Andrew Waiz 6-2, 6-3. Rounding out the Toppers are Patterson at No. 5 with a 6-0, 6-2, victory and Matt Broom shutout out David Ballage, 6-0, 6-0.
WKU will be back in action on Saturday with the women’s team facing Bellarmine at 1 p.m. (CST) followed by the two men’s teams at 3 p.m. at Total Fitness Connection.
