The Hilltoppers are now 6-6 after posting back-to-back victories for the first time since Feb. 15 and 20 — Western earned a 6-1 win over Evansville Friday.
All four WKU victories were in straight sets. Mikus Paipars defeated Marc Kassin 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 singles, with Stanislaus Rabinovics earning a 6-2, 7-6 victory at No. 2 over Steen Sehnert. Franco Serra moved to 7-2 this season with a 6-0, 6-0 win over John Fallon at No. 3, while Ryan Durham handed Tim Stenovec a 6-4, 6-3 defeat at No. 4to clinch the match for the Toppers.
CC earned straight-sets wins at both No. 5 and No. 6 singles, and tacked on a third point by sweeping the doubles matches. Kassin and Sehnert needed a tiebreaker to defeat Paipurs and Rabinovics, 9-8, at No. 1.
