Mobile, Ala. - Both Western Kentucky University tennis teams saw their seasons come to an end today in Mobile, Ala. at the 2003 Sun Belt Conference tennis tournament. The No. 8 Hilltoppers (4-17) fell to sixth-seeded New Mexico State (8-13), 4-0, in the seventh-place match, while the 10th-seeded Lady Toppers (7-11) were defeated 4-0 at the hands of No. 9 North Texas (8-10).
The Aggies knocked off the men's team by earning victories at each of the top four singles positions, all in straight sets. The Mean Green made their way past the Lady Toppers by capturing the doubles' point and adding singles wins at No. 1, No. 5 and No. 6.
