Richmond, Ky. - The Western Kentucky University men's tennis team fell to 0-3 on the season after dropping a pair of matches today in Richmond, Ky. The Hilltoppers were knocked off by Wright State, 5-2, and Lipscomb, 4-3. In the first match, WKU received singles victories from freshman Stan Rabinovics, playing at number two, and senior Evalds Jurans, playing at number three. Rabinovics also teamed with freshman Franco Serra to earn a victory at number three doubles.
In their second match of the day, the Hilltoppers triumphed in each of the top three singles pairings, as sophomore Mikus Paipars, Rabinovics and Jurans were all victorious. Freshmen Josh Haines and Ryan Durham teamed up to earn a win in doubles at number three. The Hilltoppers will take on Eastern Kentucky tomorrow at 9 a.m. before returning home.
