Bowling Green, Ky. -- Led by Marci Kacsir's school and pool record in the 1-Meter dive, the Western Kentucky University men's and women's swimming and diving teams swept a dual meet with visiting Wright State Saturday afternoon at the Preston Center.
Kacsir broke Michelle Lynch's record score of 276.25 set during the 2000 season with a mark of 284.03. The record-setting performance of Kacsir, who also won the 3-Meter event, helped propel the Lady Toppers to a 138-97 win over the visitors. The women won seven events en route to improving to 15-3.
Led by Jerrod Janes, who won the 50 and 100 freestyle events and was on the 400 freestyle relay team which finished first, the men got their tenth victory of the 2002-03 season. The Hilltoppers downed the Raiders 144-98.
The men's and women's teams travel to Carbondale, Ill. for a dual meet with the Salukis of Southern Illinois University Saturday at 2 p.m.
