IOWA CITY, Iowa-- For the second-straight year, WKU swimmer Fabian Schwingenschlogl earned All-America honors after finishing sixth in the 100 breast at the NCAA Championships on Friday night.
The only sophomore in a final full of seniors, Schwingenschlogl posted a time of 51.66, replicating the time he set in the afternoon's prelims. The German's time in the event also set a new school record.
Schwingenschlogl garnered All-America accolades last season also in the 100 breast at 52.25, becoming WKU's first All-American since Claire Donahue in 2011, as he is the third in WKU's history and second two-time All-American. He will be back in action on Saturday in the 200 breast with prelims starting at 11 a.m. CT.

All sessions not streamed by ESPN will be streamed live on the NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championship microsite at HawkeyeSports.com. Coverage of the championships will also be broadcast via tape delay on ESPNU at 4 p.m. CT on Wednesday, April 8.
