IOWA CITY, Iowa-- WKU swimming's Fabian Schwingenschlogl garnered honorable mention All-America honors after placing 12th in the 200 breast in the final night of the NCAA Championships.
The sophomore finished the event in 1:53.25, setting a new school record for the 200 breast. Schwingenschlogl took sixth in the 100 breast final on Friday night, hitting the wall in 51.66 for a school record.
With Schwingenschlogl scoring in both breaststrokes finals, the German's 18 points put WKU at 29th in overall scores.
Schwingenschlogl garnered All-America accolades last season also in the 100 breast at 52.25, becoming WKU's first All-American since Claire Donahue in 2011, as he is the third in WKU's history to earn the All-America accolade and first three-time honoree.
