As a Senior (2012-13): Mishler rounded out her final year on The Hill with 11 top-five finishes, including eight in the top three and six in the top two. Mishler boosted WKU to its ninth conference title in program history after scoring in six events at the Sun Belt Conference Championship. Individually, Mishler took second in the 100 back (54.48), third in the 200 back (1:56.77) and fourth in the 50 free (23.31). Mishler was also part of three relay teams, as the 200 free took first, 400 medley took second and 400 free finished fourth. Mishler had a trio of individual wins during the season, as she had the top time in the 100 back (56.92) against Florida Atlantic/Nova Southeastern and in the 50 free (24.32) and 100 free (53.03) in the season finale versus Evansville. She also had multiple second-place times, including the 100 back (57.37) at the Hilltopper Invite and 50 free (24.96) against Florida Atlantic/Nova Southeastern.
As a Junior (2011-12): Hilary Mishler followed up strong back-to-back seasons to open her Lady Toppers career with a junior season that featured 12 top-4 finishes, and being named a CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major Honorable Mention All-American for the third time and scoring in three events at the 2012 Sun Belt Conference Swimming and Diving Championships. At the league meet, Mishler[apos]s top performance came in a runner-up finish in the 100 backstroke. She touched the wall in an NCAA 'B' cut time of 54.28. Mishler also placed seventh in the 200 backstroke after posting another NCAA 'B' cut in the prelims with a time of 1:57.64. She wrapped up the meet with a fourth-place finish in the 50 freestyle (23.17). During the season, Mishler won the 100 back against Southern Illinois and FAU, IUPUI and Nova Southeastern. In the same event, she finished second against Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Georgia Tech, Clemson. Mainly a backstroke specialist, Mishler competed in seven different events as a junior, including the 50 free, 100 breast, 100 fly and 200 IM.
As a Sophomore (2010-11): Mishler continued to build on the success she had as a freshman and put together a stellar sophomore season. Mishler swept the 100- and 200-backstroke events at the Sun Belt Conference Swimming and Diving Championships. She won the 100 back in an NCAA provisional qualifying tie of 54.39 and the 200 back in a school-record time of 1:56.85. Mishler also finished fourth in the 200 IM with a time of 2:02.38. She was part of the 200 medley relay team that swam a school-record time in the event at the SBC Championships. Mishler was named an Honorable Mention All-America by CollegeSwimming.com. On the season, she tallied eight event wins across three events. Against Georgia Tech and Florida Atlantic, Mishler swept the backstroke events. She was also awarded WKU[apos]s team award for Academic Excellence.
As a Freshman (2009-10): Mishler had a breakout first season on the WKU swimming and diving team as she was named the WKU Rookie of the Year, WKU Most Improved and earned CollegeSwimming.com Honorable Mention All-America honors. Mishler finished the year with 10 top-3 finishes and led the team both in the 100-and 200 back. At the 2010 SBC Championships, she scored in three events including a win in the 200 back with an NCAA 'B' cut time of 1:56.92. She also placed second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:02.58 and touched in with another NCAA 'B' cut time of 54.32 in the 100 back to place second. Mishler also picked up four additional wins in the 100 and 200 back events through the regular season.
High School: Four year starter at Southmont High School in Crawfordsville, Ind. ... selected as the MVP at Southmont all four years ... named all-conference all four years ... also a state qualifier for four years and a state finalist for three years ... was the sectional champion for seven events, the county champion for eight events and the conference champion for eight events in the Sagmore Athletic Conference ... also named an Academic All-American ... a multiple record holder ... placed fifth in the backstroke and eighth in the IM at the high school state meet in 2008.
