As a Sophomore (2012-13): Runyon-Hass continued her strong collegiate career with a successful sophomore season, as she placed no lower than third in any of her 16 individual events she competed in throughout the season. Of those 16, nine saw Runyon-Hass take first place. She was a big part of WKU[apos]s title run at the Sun Belt Conference Championship, as she scored in three individual events and one relay event. Individually, she took second in the 400 IM (4:15.59) and third in the 200 IM (1:59.99) and 200 fly (2:00.26). She also set a school record in the 800 free relay after she and her teammates hit the wall at 7:17.28 for third. Runyon-Hass had a streak of eight-straight individual victories, running from the Vanderbilt/Tulane meet through the Miami (OH) Invite. Against the field at the Miami (OH) Invite, Runyon-Hass set a school and pool record in the 400 IM after finishing in 4:14.48. She also won the 200 IM (2:00.54) against a field of 27 swimmers.
As a Freshman (2011-12): Hannah Runyon-Hass started her Lady Topper career with a freshman season that featured setting the school record in the 400 individual medley, being named a CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major Honorable Mention All-American and scoring in three events at the 2012 Sun Belt Conference Swimming and Diving Championships. At the league meet, Runyon-Hass placed third in the 200 IM (2:00.38) and fourth in the 400 IM (4:17.19). Her time in the 200 IM represented an NCAA provisional qualifying time. She also placed ninth in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:19.56. Runyon-Hass set the school record in the 400 IM at the Hilltopper Invitational with an NCAA 'B' cut time of 4:16.21. Also at the Hilltopper Invite, she set a pool record in the 200 IM with a time of 2:00.51. During the season, she won four events, two of which included the 200 IM vs. Kentucky and Vanderbilt and the 400 IM against FAU, IUPUI and Nova Southeastern. She posted a strong meet in her Lady Topper debut against Kentucky and Vanderbilt. Ruynon-Hass won the 200 IM, finished second in the 200 breast and placed third in the 200 freestyle in the season opener.
