LYNCHBURG, Va. -- WKU Softball travels to Virgina to take on the Liberty Flames in a three-game series beginning Friday, April 10 at Kamphuis Field at Liberty Softball Stadium.

ABOUT THE TOPS

The Hilltoppers have posted the best start in program history at 19-3 and also earned the program's longest win streak ever at 14 games.
WKU's all-time single season home run record is in the 2026 squad's sights, hitting 47 home runs in 38 games. The all-time record is 50, set by the 2013 and 2017 teams. The 2026 team is currently tied for fifth all-time in single-season home runs.
The team is on pace to reach 30 wins faster than any other WKU team and post the best home win record in program history.
The Tops are at 28 wins in 36 games and have the potential to achieve 30 wins in 38 games. The current record is 39 games set by the 2022 and 2019 teams.
WKU is also currently 20-1 at home and needs only four more wins in Bowling Green to earn the best home record in WKU Softball history. The current best home record is 23-2 set by the 2022 team.
47 home runs are the most posted by WKU since the 2024 season when the team posted 41, led by Taylor Saunders with a program-record 17.
WKU has never had more than two players reach double-digit home runs in a single season, and the Tops have the potential to have four reach that benchmark (Maci Masters, Annie White, Kennedy Stinson, Kendle White).
WKU is just 1 of 8 teams ranked in the top 25 in all of NCAA DI Softball in both batting average and ERA (No. 1 Texas Tech, No. 2 Oklahoma, No. 3 Alabama, No. 4 Texas, No. 6 Florida, No, 8 Arkansas, and No. 11 Virginia Tech).
The Hilltoppers' ERA is currently 18th in the country, and their batting average is 21st. WKU's ERA currently bests OU and Virginia Tech's, with Virginia Tech ranked 19th and Oklahoma 22nd.
