LIBERTY 3, WKU 2Â
HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
It was a quiet start to Friday's game as both sides sat the opposing hitters down in order. Â
Liberty struck first in the second with a sacrifice fly to center field to score the first run of the night.Â
The Flames added two more runs in the third inning with another sacrifice fly and an RBI single.Â
Morgan Sharpe opened the top of the fourth with a double to left center, and Katie Murphy matched Sharpe's efforts with a double of her own and added an RBI to it as she brought Sharpe home for WKU's first run.Â
Both pitching staffs settled into something of a pitcher's duel as neither pitcher allowed another run to score until the top of the seventh.Â
WKU's Kendle White hit her eighth home run of the season over the left center wall to cut into Liberty's lead, 3-2.Â
White's home run was the only offensive production in the final half inning.Â
