ABOUT THE TOPSÂ
- Last time out WKU competed at the Lenny Lyles Invitational Friday and Saturday, Jan. 30-31.
- In total, 11 Hilltoppers set a personal best at the two-day meet.
- Sam Crenshaw won the men's pole vault (A division), setting a new program record with a vault of 5.27 meters, marking the fourth occasion that Crenshaw has done so this season.
- Crenshaw now holds the top-seven marks in the history of WKU Indoor Track and Field.
- Sophia Roskoski set a PR and program record in the pole vault with a mark of 4.17 (13-08.25), besting the previous record of 4.05 set in 2015 by Karleigh Parker.
- Roskoski's mark in the pole vault stands at No. 37 in NCAA DI this season and now holds three of the top-five marks in WKU Indoor History.
- In the men's pole vault b division Jackson Gray won the event with a PR of 4.97 meters.
- Jackson Tweed also set a PR in the event with a mark of 4.67 meters.
- Freshman Brooke Greenwell claimed a top-15 finish in the 3000 and set a PR with a time of 9:52.72. In the men's 3000, another freshman in Sam Herbig set a PR of 8:46.23.
- Ajla Basic claimed a top-10 finish in the women's weight throw.
- Kinley Kunkel managed a PR in the 5000 meter race with a time of 16:48.54.
- Caterina Rossomanno logged a PR in the mile (5:03.20), good for a top-30 finish.
- Trevor Hudnall clocked a personal best 4:09.88 in the mile, claiming a 28th place finish in the event. Bryce Revo also logged a personal best in the event with a time of 4:39.65.
MEET HISTORY
- The Tyson Invitational has been around for over 30 years, dating back to the 1993 season.
- The meet has been held at the Randal Tyson Center since its opening in 2000.
- The venue has played host to the NCAA Indoor Championships on 13 occasions and will be the host of this year's NCAA Championships slated for mid-March.
- The facility has also hosted 11 SEC Championships and is set to host its 12th in 2027.
- For WKU, this weekend will mark the first time the team has competed in Arkansas since the 2017-18 Indoor Season when they competed at the Arkansas State Invitational.
- Friday and Saturday will mark the first time the Hilltoppers will compete at the Randal Tyson Center since the 2013 NCAA Indoor Championships. There, David Mokone competed in the 800.
EVENT BREAKDOWN
- Action Friday will get underway at Noon CT with the 60-hurdles prelims. Field events on Friday kick-off with the men's pole vault set for 1 p.m.Â
- Field events Friday will wrap up at 6:30 p.m. with the women's long jump.
- The final track event Friday is the 60-hurdles final set for 7:45 p.m.
- Saturday starts off at 10:30 a.m. with the women's pole vault.
- Track events get underway with the 5000-meter race at 11 a.m.
- The 4x400 relays will close out the two-day meet Saturday afternoon at 4:05 p.m.
