The day's events were highlighted by the men's pole vault where Sam Crenshaw won the event and for the fourth time this indoor season set a new program record in the event with a mark of 5.27 meters. In the lower division Jackson Gray won with a mark of 4.97 meters.
HOW IT HAPPENEDĀ
The meet opened up with the men's weight throw where LeAndre Bolen managed a toss of 14.10 meters.
The first track event of the day for the Hilltoppers was the women's 400. Dreeanna Wade led the way for WKU with a 17th place finish. Sarah Payne logged a season best time of 1:00.10.
For the men, the first action on the track came with the 800 open. Senior Wade Balcom led the charge with a top-15 finish. Ben Dunkle finished right outsideĀ the top-20 in 21st place.
The men's pole vault proved successful for the Hilltoppers on Friday. Jackson Gray finished atop the B Division with a mark of 4.97 meters. In the A Division Sam Crenshaw won the event with a new program record vault of 5.27 meters, marking the fourth time this indoor season the sophomore has broken his own program record.
In the women's weight throw Ajla Basic managed a top 10 finish and Jayla Gilbert managed a season best throw of 15.10 meters.Ā
The men's and women's 3000 meter races saw a pair of PR's. In the women's event Brooke Greenwell managed a top-15 finish and set a new personal best time of 9:52. In the men's event Sam Herbig set a new PR of 8:46.
The final event of Friday for WKU was the 200 meter C Division race. Freshman Carter Vinson managed a top-10 finish in the event.

- Sam Crenshaw won the men's pole vault (A division), setting a new program record with a vault of 5.27 meters, marking the fourth occasion that Crenshaw has done so this season.
