Sydney Hackett is in third place to lead the Lady Tops. She is followed by Averi Cline, who is tied for sixth. The Lady Tops got strong play from the entire lineup Monday, as sophomore transfer Julia Zigrossi was inside the Top 10 after the first round following a 1-over 73.
Senior Catie Craig bounced back from an 11-over 83 in the first round to post a 1-under 71 in the second round, WKU's best score in the second round.
NOTABLES
- Sydney Hackett's first round 69 tied her best round of the season. It was one of just three rounds in the 60s on Monday.
- Sydney Hackett had seven birdies on Monday, tied for fourth-best in the field. Julia Zigrossi had six, tied for seventh.
- Averi Cline had 25 pars in 36 holes Monday, good for fifth-best in the field.
- Sydney Hackett was tied for fourth in Par 4-scoring a 3-over on Monday. Averi Cline was 4-over on the Par 4s and also inside the Top 10. On the Par 5s, Catie Craig played them at 2-under, tied for fifth.
- WKU led the 16-team field in Par 4- and Par 5-scoring. The Lady Tops were 8-under on the Par 5s Monday.
- WKU's 24 birdies were the second most in the field behind ULM's 29. The Lady Tops also had 101 pars during Monday's two rounds.
