BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Women's Tennis will compete against several teams this weekend at the Middle Tennessee Fall Invitational in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
The event will be the second and final of the fall for the Lady Toppers. Matches are scheduled to be played Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the MTSU Tennis Complex and the Adams Tennis Complex. Also competing in the Middle Tennessee Fall Invitational are Lipscomb, Miami (Ohio), Middle Tennessee, SEMO and Tennessee State.

ABOUT THE LADY TOPPERS
- WKU is coming off a 15-10 spring season in 2025, which included a 12-6 record at home.
- The 15 wins were tied for third-most in a single season in program history.
- The 12 home wins were tied for the most at home in a single season in program history.
- WKU's 62 wins over the last four years are the most in a four-year stretch in program history.
- WKU returns three players from the 2024-2025 season – Emily Schut, Elizabeth Sobieski and Carolina Chiatti.
- The Lady Toppers brought in five newcomers during the offseason – Isabelle Einess, Ariadna Fernandez, Virginia Madueño, Barbara Olvera and Andra Sirbu.
- The Middle Tennessee Fall Invitational is the second and final event WKU will play in this fall, with the other being the APSU Fall Tournament, which was played Sept. 19-20. Fernandez led the Lady Toppers at the event with a 2-0 record in singles and a 1-0 record in doubles, while Olvera posted a 1-0 record in singles and a 2-0 record in doubles. Sobieski posted a 2-0 record in singles at the event and a 1-1 record in doubles.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
- Lipscomb: The Bisons are coming off a 13-7 2025 season, including a 6-3 year in ASUN play, and finished ranked ninth in the Ohio Valley Region.
- Miami (Ohio): The RedHawks posted a 10-10 overall record last year, but went 9-1 in MAC play to claim the regular-season conference title.
- Middle Tennessee: The Blue Raiders went 17-9 in the 2025 spring season and advanced to the CUSA semifinals, before falling to Louisiana Tech.
- SEMO: The Redhawks posted a 15-10 overall record last season and a 5-0 mark in OVC play to claim the regular-season conference title – the program's third straight regular-season championship.
- Tennessee State: The Tigers went 2-16 in the spring of 2025, with wins over Delta State and Southern Indiana.
