BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Men's Golf graduate student Luke Fuller was selected to travel to West Lafayette, Indiana for the NCAA Men's Golf Regionals. Fuller is the first Hilltopper to compete in the NCAA Regional since Billy Tom Sargent and Stuart Easton in 2019.
"I'm very excited to head up to Purdue!", said Fuller. "We have been there for a few tournaments in the past but always on the other golf course, so I'm excited to go play this one. I've heard great things about it, and I think it will fit my game well."
Head Coach Austin King spoke about Fuller and his journey to Indiana, "I'm super proud of Luke. He was playing really solid all Spring, his game is very steady, very reliable and that was perfect for Texarkana." King continued, "He looked like a professional the entire week during the conference tournament and it was super special to watch."
The Mount Sterling, Kentucky native earned an automatic bid to the Regional after clinching the CUSA Individual Championship last week. Fuller was under-par for the entirety of the tournament. The graduate student shot a 209 in the tourney. He ended his tournament seven strokes under par.
This is the continuation of a great final season for Fuller on The Hill. Fuller finished his season with three top-five finishes this season along with a 71.8 stroke average which was the second-best on the team.
Fuller is set to take on the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex at Purdue University from May 13-15.
