WKU has a two-stroke lead over fourth place Middle Tennessee and is 11 strokes behind second place New Mexico State going into the final round of stroke play on Wednesday.
NOTABLES
- WKU's round score of 280 on Tuesday is the lowest round score of the season for the Hilltoppers.
- Gage Doyle moved up nine spots on the leaderboard with a 69 (-3) in the second round. The 3-under score ties a season best for Doyle. He goes into round three tied for 14th place with a 2-under score (142) for the tournament.
- Joseph Agee fired a season best 68 (-4) in the second round, putting him in a tie for 19th place with a 1-under score (143) for the tournament.
- Rafe Blankenship and Trevor Drew are also tied for 19th place after the first two rounds. Drew shot a 71 (-1) in the second round and Blankenship carded a 75 (+3).
- Will Easterlin posted a 72 (E) for the second round, bringing his score to 146 (+2) for the tournament, tying for 33rd place.

"Today was a good day," said head coach Austin King. "I was really proud of how the group competed all day, especially on the last few holes after it got away from them for a few there on 14 and 15. The job is not finished, but tomorrow is going to be a really exciting day to make match play and I'm pumped for the guys to go do it tomorrow!"
