BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Track and Field is gearing up for the final meet of the 2024 outdoor regular season with the Music City Challenge. The meet will run Friday and Saturday and will be hosted by Vanderbilt.Â

On the final meet of the regular season, head coach Brent Chumbley said "This is our last meet before conference championships so it should give us a great idea of where we are and what we need to clean up before the postseason."
Last time out, the Hilltoppers competed in the Jim Green Invitational in Lexington. Katie Isenbarger once again led the charge, clearing 1.85 meters in the high jump and taking first for the fourth time this outdoor season. Nick Fornoff also had a career day, clearing 2.00 meters even, good for fourth. Kameron Horton had a career day on the track, setting a new PR in the 110-meter hurdles, 14.28, which is the fourth best in Conference USA.Â
In the distance ranks, WKU has continued to make strides with Trevor Hudnall and Wade Balcom both setting new PR's in the 800. This moves them into the top-10 in the conference.
Friday, the day kicks off with the men's and women's javelin throw, slated for noon. The long jump, pole vault, and discus round out the Friday field events. On the track, the 200 is scheduled for 5 p.m. The final event of the day, the 5000, will run at 8:20 p.m.
Saturday morning, the hammer throw gets underway at 10 a.m. The high jumpers will get into action at 11 a.m. For the track events, the 4x100 relays are set for 1:35 p.m. The 400 is scheduled for 3:05 p.m. with the 800 roughly three hours later at 5:40 p.m. The final event of the meet will be the 4x400 relays and those are set for 6:50 p.m.
