BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The WKU Softball team is back at the WKU Softball Complex to host Lipscomb, tomorrow April 3. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m. CT.
WKU is coming off of their last three-game homestand before two weeks on the road, after a series sweep against Sam Houston. On Thursday evening, the Tops drove through the Bearkats, 3-1, as freshman Kendle White hit her first collegiate career home run to cap off the final run on the board. WKU took the series Friday night with another 3-1 victory, before capping off the weekend 5-1 against SHSU on Saturday. Sophie Weber and Taylor Sanders homered in the series finale, Sanders picked up her 12th home run of the season and marked a new single-season career high.
Lipscomb is 12-22 this season, picking up a Power Five win at North Carolina in February. The Bison are 2-7 in the ASUN, with league wins over North Alabama and Florida Gulf Coast. Redshirt-sophomore Josey Polk is leading the Nashville program with .293 batting average and 27 hits in 2024.
The game will be broadcast on radio via the Varsity Network with Reily Chestnut on the call.
Fans can enter and purchase tickets on the north end of the stadium, down the sidewalk via the Creason lot in between left field and PS3. Tickets are just $2 for both adults and children. Flex season tickets packages are still on sale by going online, calling 1-800-5-BIGRED, or visiting the ticket office in-person inside Diddle Arena. Students receive free admission by showing their student ID. Individual tickets for the WKU vs. Kentucky game on April 17th are on sale now, note that only parking structure tickets are left.
Gates will open for fans one hour before the first game.

Fifth-year Katie Gardner boasts a 2.02 ERA from the Hilltopper pitching staff in 100.1 innings.
- As a team, the Hilltoppers are posting a .321 batting average, while scoring 178 runs off of 276 hits. The Hilltopper pitching staff is operating with a 2.60 ERA and earning 172 strikeouts from the circle.
- In the Conference USA Preseason Coaches Poll, the Hilltoppers were predicted to finish second in CUSA, while fifth-year infielders Taylor Sanders and TJ Webster along with right-hander Katie Gardner were named CUSA Preseason All-Conference.
