BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — WKU women's basketball junior guard Alexis Mead has been named to the All-Conference USA Second Team and the CUSA All-Defensive Team.
Mead leads the conference in total steals with 61 on the season and is third in the league in assists with 126 total and a 4.1 assists per game average. Both her steals and assists totals are top 100 in the nation. During conference play, Mead has averaged 4.6 assists per game.
Mead is also top 20 in the league during conference play in rebounding, averaging 4.3 boards per game (17th), and scoring 12.3 points per game (11th).
The Moreno Valley, California native has spent three seasons on The Hill as the Lady Toppers' point guard. In that time, she's accumulated 326 career assists, 172 career steals and made 110 career 3-pointers. She's 42 assists, 27 steals and 34 3-pointers away from WKU's all-time top 10.
Mead was previously honored on the CUSA All-Freshman Team in 2021-22. She was a Preseason All-CUSA pick and earned the CUSA Spirit of Service Award last year.
The Lady Toppers will take on Liberty in the quarterfinals of the CUSA Championship on Wednesday, March 13 at 2 p.m. in Huntsville, Alabama.
