BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Women's Tennis seniors Sofia Blanco and Rachel Hermanova will compete in the 2024 ITA Division I Women's Ohio Valley Regional Championship starting in the main draw on Friday at the Adams Tennis Complex in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

ABOUT THE LADY TOPS
- Rachel Hermanova ranks first in program history in career singles wins with 49. She holds the record of singles wins in a season with 19 in 2022, and also is tied for the second-best mark in program history with 18 in 2023. Hermanova was 12-9 last season in singles play.
- Sofia Blanco ranks third in WKU history with 40 singles wins, and is also second in program history with 38 career doubles wins. Her 18 singles wins last year are tied for the second-most in a single season in program history, and she also holds the top spot for single-season doubles wins in program history, claiming 17 with Samantha Martinez in 2022. Blanco was 18-2 last season in singles play.
- The Lady Toppers have competed once already this fall – at the APSU Fall Tournament. Blanco went 3-0 in singles, while Hermanova posted a 2-1 singles record. The two won both doubles matches they played together at the event.
- WKU Women's Tennis is in its winningest three-year stretch in program history with 47 wins during that period.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
- Ellie Myers went 10-7 overall in singles play last season, playing primarily from the No. 5 and No. 6 positions for Kentucky.
- Alessandra Caceres went 14-8 in singles play last season as a freshman for East Tennessee State and played all of her matches from the No. 5 position.
- Callie Flanagan and Gabrielle Guenther did not play any doubles matches together last season at Cincinnati, but in doubles play with other partners, Guenther was 10-8 and Flanagan went 5-14 overall. The duo picked up two doubles wins at the Pam Whitehead Invitational last week.
- Overall, the field for the Ohio Valley Regional will feature 29 teams.
