WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — WKU women's golf began the 2023-24 season with the first and second rounds of the Boilermaker Classic on Monday. The Lady Toppers sit in seventh place on the leaderboard heading into the final round on Tuesday.
The squad shot 292 in the first round and 299 in the second round for a 15-over score for the day. Sixth-place Notre Dame finished 14-over, fifth-place Louisville is 13-over and fourth-place Georgia Southern is 12-over.
Catie Craig led WKU on Monday with a 1-under (71) first round and even second round (72), tying for ninth place. Sarah Arnold is even through the first two rounds after even scores in both the first and second rounds. She is tied for 11th place.
Addie Westbrook is tied for 32nd place as an individual with a 5-over score through the first two rounds. Faith Martin shot 9-over for the day to tie for 53rd place. Sydney Hackett and Averi Cline are each tied for 67th place with 11-over scores for the day. Hackett shot a 76 (+4) in the first round and a 79 (+7) in the second, while Cline shot 79 (+7) in the first and 76 (+4) in the second.
The field will tee off the final round with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
