WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — WKU women's golf concluded the first event of the 2023-24 season on Tuesday at the Boilermaker Classic hosted by Purdue. The Lady Toppers finished in a tie for eighth place with a 23-over final score of 887 for the tournament.
After shooting a 292 in the first round and a 299 in the second round, WKU shaved three strokes off their score in the third round for a 296.
Catie Craig posted a 72 for the third round to finish tied for ninth place with an overall 1-under score for the tournament. Sarah Arnold finished in a tie for 12th place with a 1-over score for the event.
Addie Westbrook tied her best score of the tournament on Tuesday, recording a 72 for the third round. She finished with a 5-over score for the tournament, tying for 22nd place. Sydney Hackett moved up the leaderboard with a 73 on Tuesday, moving into a tie for 51st place with an overall 12-over score.
Averi Cline tied for 70th place with a 17-over score for the tournament. Faith Martin finished in 70th with a 18-over score.
The team will be back in action next week for the Jennifer Duke Invitational hosted by Cincinnati Sept. 11-12.
