Hilltoppers Hit the Road for Midweek Matchup at Belmont

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Baseball will hit the road for a midweek matchup in Nashville, Tenn. against Belmont beginning at 4 p.m. CT on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at E.S. Rose Park.

THE SCHEDULE
• WKU Baseball is set to face Belmont at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at E.S. Rose Park.

LAST TIME OUT
• The Hilltoppers faced Dayton in their opening three-game series over the weekend, sweeping the Flyers.
• WKU scored 18 total runs on 18 hits while surrendering only five runs on 16 hits from Dayton.

MOUND MARVELS
• The Hilltopper pitching staff was lights out in all three games recording 32 strikeouts with 10 walks throughout the series.
• After the first weekend of play, WKU leads the conference in ERA (1.33), earned runs (4), and opponent batting average (.170).
• WKU's team ERA (1.33) is good for 10th in the nation.
• LHP Lane Diuguid is one of two pitchers in Conference USA to not allow a hit when throwing for at least four innings and is the only pitcher to not allow a hit in five or more innings.
