• The Hilltoppers faced Dayton in their opening three-game series over the weekend, sweeping the Flyers.
• WKU scored 18 total runs on 18 hits while surrendering only five runs on 16 hits from Dayton.

• The Hilltopper pitching staff was lights out in all three games recording 32 strikeouts with 10 walks throughout the series.
• After the first weekend of play, WKU leads the conference in ERA (1.33), earned runs (4), and opponent batting average (.170).
• WKU's team ERA (1.33) is good for 10th in the nation.
• LHP Lane Diuguid is one of two pitchers in Conference USA to not allow a hit when throwing for at least four innings and is the only pitcher to not allow a hit in five or more innings.
• RHP Mason Burns and LHP Lane Diuguid are tied for sixth in total strikeouts in Conference USA with seven a piece.

• WKU's offense currently leads all of Conference USA in sacrifice flies (3) and sacrifice bunts (5) with five different Hilltoppers laying down sacrifice bunts over the weekend.
• The Hilltoppers are currently tied for 21st in the nation for sacrifice flies and 3rd in the nation for sacrifice bunts.

• WKU and Belmont have met 53 times in program history, with the Hilltoppers owning a 27-26 all-time series edge.
• The teams met twice last season, splitting the two games, both games decided by just one run.
• In the most recent matchup, the Hilltoppers recorded a 9-8 victory in Bowling Green on April 5, 2022.
• Prior to their most recent matchup, the Bruins earned an 8-7 win on March 15, 2022, in Nashville, Tenn.
