STATESBORO, Ga. – WKU Women's Golf finished their Fall season extremely strong, finishing as the Runner-up at The Southern. Catie Craig and Sarah Arnold each finished in the top five. This is now the fourth straight top three finish for the Lady Tops.
Finishing in the top three is Catie Craig who finished third overall. Craig spent both days of the tournament in the top three, even tying for first after the end of round two. The junior finished her final round with a 4-over 76 score.
Sarah Arnold had a great showing wire to wire for the Lady Tops, finishing fourth overall. The grad student used a 1-over 73 final round to solidify herself in the top five. This is now Arnold's third top 10 finish and second top five finish of the Fall.
Finishing in the top 30 as well is Addie Westbrook who tied for 29th on the leaderboard. Westbrook showed her consistency between rounds two and three, finishing with a 4-over 76 score in both rounds. Westbrook finished with a 12-over 228 total score.
Sydney Hackett tied for 33rd in the tournament. Hackett used her two birdies in the final round to close out her tournament strong, finishing with her best round of the tournament. Hackett closed out her tournament with a 1-over 73 final round.
Tying for 38th on the day is Lady Topper Averi Cline. Cline improved on her first round, shooting an even-par 72 in the second round. Cline finished her tournament with an 8-over 80 score in the final round, including two birdies.
Nina McMurtrey finished in the top 50 after competing as an individual. The sophomore finished the tournament tied for 49th finishing with a 21-over 237 total score for the tourney.
Also landing in the top 50 is Sydney Hackett. Hackett is tied for 44th heading into tomorrow's final round. Hackett was able to improve on her first round by three strokes, turning in a 5-over 77 second round.
This tournament marks the end of the Lady Tops Fall season. The squad will be back in action as they tee off the Spring season and travel to Mercer to compete in the
Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational on February 23rd.
