WKU Notes
- Last week, the Lady Toppers went 1-0-1 with a shut out of Kentucky, 1-0, on Thursday night and a 0-0 tie against Belmont on Sunday. Aspen Seaich scored the game-winning goal in the first half against the Wildcats on a long-distance strike.
- Goalkeeper Alexis Bach and the WKU defense posted two shut outs on the week, earning Bach C-USA Goalkeeper of the Week honors and Seaich C-USA Defensive Player of the Week accolades.
- WKU has scored seven total goals so far this season, coming from seven different goal scorers. Katie Erwin, Lily Rummo, Kayla Meyer, Brooke Sleeva, Anna Isger, Avery Christopher and Seaich have all found the back of the net. Meyer, Rummo and Seaich along with Olivia Kucharyski have each notched an assist on the season as well.
- The WKU defense has given up only four goals on the season in six matches, which is the second fewest of any team in the conference. The team has three shut outs on the season, which is tied for the second most in C-USA.
- Bach is tied for the lead in C-USA with two shut outs on the season, has the best save percentage in the league at 78.9 percent and has the second goals against average at 0.73.
- WKU has beaten a Power Five team in three straight seasons with wins against Vanderbilt, Kentucky and two wins against Louisville. The Lady Toppers are 4-2 against Power Five opponents in the last three seasons.
Series History
- WKU and Ole Miss have played five times in series history, including a matchup in Bowling Green last season that resulted in a 1-0 win for Ole Miss.
- The Rebels own a 3-1-1 record against the Lady Toppers all-time. WKU's win came in the first meeting of the teams, in 2008. It was a 2-1 double overtime victory.
Ole Miss Notes
- The Rebels have the fourth best goals against average in the country, allowing just 0.167 goals per game. Goalkeeper Ashley Orkus has posted five clean sheets on the season, which is tied for the most nationwide.
- On the flip side, Ole Miss is averaging 3.17 goals scored per game, which is the 14th best rate nationally.
- Taylor Radecki is the leading assist earner in Division I with seven on the year so far.
- Marykate McGuire and Mo O'Connor lead the team in goals with four each.
