HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hilltoppers wasted no time establishing themselves offensively, putting DePaul under pressure early. WKU got on the board in the 15th minute when Maggie Bellair found Makenna Egan, who fired a shot into the bottom-left corner of the net to give the Hilltoppers a 1-0 lead.
WKU's defense remained solid throughout the second half, allowing just two shots on goal, both of which were saved by goalkeeper Mia Riddick. The Hilltoppers continued to apply pressure offensively, recording nine shots in the second half, but were unable to add to their lead as WKU held on for the 1-0 victory.
