This will be the first time WKU Women's Golf has hosted a full-field tournament at the par-72, 6,235-yard club. The Lady Toppers and Cardinals have faced off in the match-play Battle of the Bluegrass event at Olde Stone for the last two seasons. WKU's most recent tournament at the club was when men's golf hosted the Kenny Perry Invitational in 2016.
"It's going to be so nice," said fifth-year senior Olivia Reed on playing the course. "I love playing at Olde Stone because it's just a course that one, is extremely beautiful to play on and two, it makes you work on every part of your game."
WKU is one of 14 teams in the strong field. The Lady Toppers are set to compete amongst No. 31 and co-host Louisville, No. 40 Oklahoma, No. 50 Augusta, No. 58 Coastal Carolina, No. 64 Charlotte, No. 69 North Texas, No. 73 Wisconsin, No. 80 Notre Dame, No. 84 Middle Tennessee and No. 98 Minnesota.
"Come on out and see your Lady Toppers play," added Reed. "It's really fun to see a bunch of spectators out there cheering everyone on. It makes it more exciting because we don't get a lot of spectators at a normal tournament, so the more people, the better."
Senior Kenlie Barrett will lead off the Lady Tops in the lineup followed by sophomore Rachel Rich, who most recently finished t-16th at the Pat Bradley Invitational. It was her second top-20 finish of the season.
Reed will be in the third spot for WKU while junior Sarah Arnold and freshman Catie Craig will compete as No. 4 and 5, respectively. Both freshman and Bowling Green native Faith Martin and sophomore Addie Westbrook will compete in the Intercollegiate as individuals.
The public is invited to spectate the event on Monday and Tuesday at Olde Stone. The field will start in a shotgun format at 8:45 a.m. CT on both days, playing 36 holes continuously on Monday followed by the final round on Tuesday.
