WKU will kick off weekend action with a 10 a.m. CT game against Ohio on Friday from Field 2. The Bobcats enter the weekend still in search of their first win with a 0-5 record. Over opening weekend, Ohio suffered a pair of losses to Conference USA's UAB along with No. 1/2 Washington, Furman and Georgia Tech in Atlanta. Last season, Ohio went 34-21. WKU leads the all-time series 3-0 over the Bobcats.
Friday afternoon WKU will face weekend host Chattanooga in a 3 p.m. tilt from Frost Field. Action will be streamed on ESPN3. UTC sits at 1-1 on the young 2020 season after splitting an opening weekend doubleheader against Austin Peay. WKU leads the all-time series 3-2 and is 3-1 in games played from Frost Field. The Mocs went 37-17 a season ago.
Day two action from the Chatt Challenge will feature tilts against Tennessee Tech and Lipscomb, respectively. WKU will open the day against Tennessee Tech on Field 2 with a first pitch slated for 10 a.m. TTU enters the weekend with a 4-1 record, suffering its lone loss to Tulsa while picking up victories over Mercer (host), Wright State twice and Dayton. The Golden Eagles went 18-27 last season, which included a 4-1 nine-inning setback to the Tops in Cookeville. WKU owns a 10-7 advantage in the all-time series. Game two of the day will pit WKU against Lipscomb for the second of three meetings between the squads this season. The Bisons came out on top in last weekend's season opener, claiming a 3-2 decision from Troy, Ala., to now lead the series 16-15. Lipscomb enters the second weekend of play with a 2-1 record after having a couple games cancelled due to weather concerns.

Indiana State and Marshall – two squads the Hilltoppers will face later on in the 2020 campaign – will also play in the Chatt Challenge this weekend.
WKU Softball has been predicted to finish second in the Conference USA Preseason Coach Poll. The Red and White received a pair of first-place votes while earning their highest preseason ranking in their time in the league.
