July 30th marks roughly 100 days until the 2018-19 season tipoff for the 100th season of WKU Hilltopper Basketball, and over the next 100 days, WKU Athletics will treat fans to unique moments and interesting history from Hilltopper Basketball, all leading up to the start of the season in November.
DAY 40 (September 28) |
Anthony Winchester comes down the court against IUPUI in 2005. The guard earned All-American honors and the title of Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year in 2006. As a freshman in 2003, he was named the SBC Freshman of the Year. Winchester is ranked ninth on WKU's all-time scoring list with 1,732 points. |

DAY 39 (September 29) |
E.A. Diddle Arena was completed in 1963. The Hilltoppers have won 598 games in the building. |

DAY 38 (September 30) |

DAY 37 (October 1) |
Dee Gibson, John Oldham, Odie Spears, Don Ray, Charlie Labhart, Bob Gillespie, Oran McKinney, Paul Champion and Chalmers Embry pose for action shots in 1947. Led in scoring by Spears, the group went 28-2 on the season. |

DAY 36 (October 2) |
Ty Rogers is interviewed by CBS in 2008 after hitting the iconic game-winning shot against Drake in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, propelling the Hilltoppers to the second round and eventually the Sweet 16. Rogers won the ESPY award that year for "Best Finish." |

DAY 35 (October 3) |
Coach John Oldham receiving a proclamation from Bowling Green Mayor Robert Graham in 1970. Oldham's 1969-70 squad had great success, earning a 22-3 record and a perfect 14-0 stint in the Ohio Valley Conference. |

DAY 34 (October 3) |
Courtney Lee was the eighth and most recent WKU Basketball player to have his jersey retired to the rafters of E.A. Diddle Arena. Lee, who is entering his 11th season in the NBA, celebrates his 33rd birthday today. |

DAY 33 (October 4) |
Bob Proctor talks with Coach Diddle on the radio. Proctor was the voice of Western Kentucky University football and basketball for 16 years after World War II. He was a recipient of the Paul Just Award from the W Club for his years of devoted service to WKU Athletics. Proctor gave up the sports mic when Diddle retired. |

The Hilltopper Class of '87 (Bryan Asberry, Tellis Frank, Kannard Johnson, Clarence Martin, Ray Swogger) poses for a graduation picture. The senior class was the largest class that year with only three juniors, three sophomores, and two freshmen. |
